Rules

PAINTBALL SAFETY AND GENERAL FIELD RULES

DISCLAIMER

This list is intended to assist the player in understanding the amount of responsibility that goes with using a paintball marker. There is no substitute for common sense and discretion when playing in the extreme sport of paintball.

1. EYE PROTECTION
Remember, the number one rule when participating in a paintball scrimmage is to never remove your facemask or goggles while on the field.
Approved goggles must be worn and kept in place at all times while the players are on the playing field or safety area.
If your goggles are knocked off during the games, cover your eyes with both hands, and call for a referee.
If a player removes their goggles while on the playing field, the referee will issue a safety warning.

2. OPERATION OF PAINTBALL MARKER
At all times, handle your paintball gun as if it was loaded.
All Markers velocity will not exceed 285 Feet per Second (FPS)
Never look down a barrel.
Markers may only be fired on the field or at the chrono area. No shooting in safe area.
No Blind Firing – You must be looking in the direction you are shooting.
Do not shoot up in the air or shoot at lights, buildings or cars.
Excessive multiple “HIT” by one shooter upon one player will not be tolerated.
(This applies to “HITS”, not the number of shot fired)
Players should avoid shooting at range closer then 10 feet.
Barrel socks on and markers render safe before the player is completely off the playing field.
(Referee will issue a warning for failure to comply).

3. ELIMINATION
A player is eliminated from the game when a paintball breaks and leaves a paint mark at least quarter size or larger anywhere on the player or the player’s equipment. Paint splatter is not enforced (This means splatter from paintballs breaking on the bunker and the splattering on you do not count as a hit)

4. ACTION TO BE TAKEN WHEN ELIMINATED
Loudly call “HIT! Once eliminated, the player must exit the game with their hand held over their head.
Eliminated players may not talk to live players.
Players may remove themselves from the game at any time by calling “HIT!

5. REFEREE
The referee has the right to go anywhere on the playing field, players must yield to the referees discretion.
The referee has precedence; all decisions made by the referee are final. Do not argue with the referee.
A referee may eject any player from the field for poor sportsmanship or interfering with the referee.

6. PLAYER CONDUCT AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Absolutely no physical contact or foul language will be tolerated at any time.
Consumption of alcohol or use of drugs will be strictly prohibited at Grunts Paintball Field.

7. SURRENDER RULE
Surrender is optional a player does not have to surrender and may chose to shoot it out.
We advise to take surrender.
POOR SPORTSMANSHIP OR THE INABILITY TO FOLLOW RULES WILL RESULT IN YOUR  EJECTION FROM THE FIELD.
